I am sending this version of the email specifically to investors because many of you have been much closer to the Rare Founders journey.

Now we are building the next layer.
What we are building
After operating inside the startup ecosystem for the last 2 years and seeing it from founder, investor and partner perspectives, I can distil success down to one simple factor. Relationships.
MIT and Stanford have researched this for 15 years and created a whole field called Social Physics. The conclusion is simple. The more connected you are through real relationships, the higher your probability of success.
Yet today networks are broken. They are built around vanity metrics.
I personally have 12,000 LinkedIn connections. I do not know most of these people. I cannot rely on this network.
Rare Founders 2.0 is solving this
We are building a real social graph based on actual behavioural data and real world interactions.
Not job titles.
Not follower counts.
Not empty connections.
This includes:
digital interactions like calendar invites, email exchanges, WhatsApp and LinkedIn conversations
real world interactions like meetings, events and conferences — this is our true distribution advantage
Up until now, relationship strength has never been quantified outside research environments. We are bringing this into the real market.

The goal of this round is to launch the MVP, drive adoption inside our community and collect enough behavioural data to validate the model.
Once validated, we plan to raise £3–5M within 9–12 months to scale internationally.
We are now speaking to final investors for this allocation.
We are determined to close this round before the end of March.
